1 has 4matic. I live in Southern California and when I go to the snow, we take the family suv. I have read up on some of the differences, it seems rwd has better take off from zero and the 4matic has better handling. (not sure if any of this is true or really matters) I would think rwd is better from the idea of being less complicated.
